Our Ministry in Thailand

We expect our ministry to expand in a number of areas. Below are a number of ideas we have, ways in which God has open doors for us in this new land. We would ask that you pray with us about these. We expect that they will continue to form over the next year as we prepare for our arrival in Thailand!

English Teaching Camps are a way to build relationships with young people and teach them values from the Bible while teaching them English.

Relationships are key. It is after we spend the time to really get to know someone that we have the power to speak into their lives!

God gave us caring hearts. We've been caring for our friends in Thailand for 6 years. Moving we hope to be able to do even more.

Bill has been working with computers for almost 30 years. It will be a pleasure to share these technology skills with people in Thailand and Asia.

Upcoming Events:

September 30, 2011 -- End of first term of school.

sample The kids will all go home for 3-4 weeks. School is out every year for most of October.

October 3-10, 2011 -- Bill/Susie to Chiang Mai & Bangkok

sample We will be taking advantage of the kids being gone to get some much needed rest, while at the same time visiting some friends we've not seen for a long time.

October 25, 2011 -- School starts again.

sample Our high school kids will be starting school again on the 25th, meaning they will be returning to us around the 22nd or 23rd.

November 10, 2011 -- Loy Krathong Festival begins

This is a fun time of the year! Loy means "to float" and Krathong refers to a lotus shaped object that can float on the water. Originally the krathong was made of banana leaves and contained food, nuts, flowers, candles and coins. People will light the candle, set the krathong on the water and make a wish as it floats away on the river. At the same time the night sky will be filled with hot-air balloons.
